St John’s Wednesday Lunchtime Concerts
This year’s series of free Wednesday 1pm lunchtime concerts at St John’s Midsomer Norton begins on 12th June with the Mendip Ensemble (Carole Jenner Timms – flute, Simon Naylor – oboe & Jacquelyn Bevan – piano) playing music from the Baroque to present day.
On 19th June violin virtuoso Matthew Taylor will perform an all-French programme including Saint-Saëns’ stunning Havanaise.
Other concerts include an organ recital by David Bednall and St John’s Primary School on 3rd July.
Entrance is by donation with a retiring collection and refreshments will be on sale half a hour before the concert.
